Laptops are a handy tool to have when you’re chilling on the sofa or out and about, but they are not invincible!
Always make sure that you always take precautions when using any liquid substance near the laptop as if you have an accident it is highly possible that you could be without a laptop quicker than you think, we have fixed plenty of laptops for our clients and some have been lucky to just wipe down the keyboard, then some have had to pay for a hard drive, motherboard and a keyboard! which cost them a LOT of money!
Precautions:
1. Never leave your laptop close to any drinks or beverages.
2. Always turn away from the laptop when you are taking a drink.
3. Never leave your laptop in a moist room; eg ; bathroom or shed.
4. IF you are very unlucky or plain silly and end up pouring a glass of **something** over the laptop then AS SOON AS POSSIBLE turn it upside down, with keyboard and screen facing down, remove the battery, and lightly tap the back cover which is facing up, then lift the laptop up, wipe down with a dry cloth, then leave in a room at room temperature for at LEAST 12 hours facing down.
